    Farewell Rolf Stahel - Looking back and forward

    It is our great pleasure and honor to invite you to a special farewell symposium for our colleague and friend, Rolf Stahel. Rolf Stahel has shaped the development of Oncology not only in Zürich and Switzerland, but also through the European Society of Medical Oncology with major outreach across the globe, e.g., with the initiation of closer cooperation between Europe and the Asia Pacific region by the introduction of the ESMO Asia Conferences. He has also been instrumental in joining forces of clinical and experimental cancer research in Zürich, through the Cancer Center Zürich, and more recently the Comprehensive Cancer Center Zürich – Zürich owes him a lot for his efforts! On October 6th, 2020 we would like to celebrate Rolf and we hope that many of you will join us for this important event. mehr

    5th Zurich Immuno-Oncology Symposium

    The number of malignancies where immunotherapy has gained approval has rapidly grown and increasingly immunotherapy is being combined with other treatment modalities. Expectations for further progress in the treatment of cancer are high in view of the rapid advancement of science and development of new immunotherapeutic agents. While many physicians have gained experience with the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors, the need for a multidisciplinary network of experts as back up to advise on the diagnosis and treatment of immune-related side effects has become apparent. At the Comprehensive Cancer Center Zürich, such a network has been established. We invite you to take part in the 5th Zürich Immuno-Oncology Symposium organized by the Comprehensive Cancer Center Zürich where a panel of renowned national and international experts will provide you with an overview of the field. mehr
